Amanda Barnes, RDN is a registered dietitian nutritionist. She has worked at ‘Whole Foods Market’ Global Headquarters, ‘Giant Food Grocery’ in Washington, DC and a public school, making healthier and exciting menu choices for all of the students.
She encourages her clients to care for their health in a way that best honors their lifestyle, cultural traditions, and respects body diversity. Through nutrition coaching, her clients are able to heal their relationship with food and body image and address the root cause of their digestive distress.
She has an integrative and practical approach to her work, and her wellness articles, simple recipes, and science-based nutrition advice are regularly featured in leading media outlets.
Amanda Barnes, RDN is a trusted food and nutrition expert and has been featured in many major media outlets, including the Shape, MyFitnessPal, EatThis, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Prevention, Health, Self, Essence, Refinery 29, and many others.
She received her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics from the University of Michigan where she also completed her dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian. She continued his education for a Masters in Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems.
